EXPERIENCED LANDSCAPE TECHNICIAN

We are a small but rapidly expanding landscaping company in the Greater Vancouver area. We pride ourselves in turning neglected landscape properties around, making them better than before, while being consistent with its intended beauty. We are proud of our top-notch quality results, and our clients take notice. Current contract opportunities have led to staff restructuring and expansion . Likas Landscaping Inc.’s client sites include North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Vancouver, New Westminster, Richmond, Burnaby, Delta, and Surrey.
EXPERIENCE IN THE LANDSCAPING INDUSTRY REQUIRED. COMPANY-SPECIFIC TRAINING PROVIDED.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
To provide aesthetic and ecological landscape maintenance services to the satisfaction of the company’s clients. This entails diverse daily work activities including, but not limited to:
o Lawn Mowing
o Line Trimming/Lawn Edging
o Shrub and Small Tree Trimming and Pruning
o Weeding
o Air Blowing
o Garden Annuals/Perennials Installation
o Organic Debris Clean Up
o Planting
o Ad hoc odd jobs related to overall property cleanliness
o Assisting with the supervision of relatively inexperienced team members
o Acting as role model for more junior landscape technicians
o Keeping an active eye for efficiency opportunities in the field
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Physical fitness to operate machines/equipment and to meet the job’s usual physical demands
Ability to work under the rain or shine
Critical thinking and independent thinking when required
Communication and ability to follow instructions
Excellent work ethic and energy (going “beyond the extra mile” for customer service)
Curiosity to learn new things
Willingness to learn landscaping techniques, machine use, and industry knowledge
Delivering quality work under pressure
Professional integrity
Humility to learn from mistakes
Capacity to be both a leader to the junior team members and a follower with regards to supervisor directives
Landscape Technician Diploma not required, but is an asset.
